DescriptionStudents are asked to draw as detailed a map of their campus as possible in ten minutes. They are then asked to exchange their map with a partner's, and analyze the differences between their map and their partner's. They are then asked to explain what sociological factors (ie future occupation, age, gender) could account for the differences.

Time students for 10 minutes while they draw their maps
Instruct them to exchange maps
After they finish, lead a short class discussion about how their maps different with their partner's, and what sociological factors might influence these differences
